Residential Painting Services in Oahu & Maui

Interior and exterior painting for Oahu and Maui homes, rentals, and listings — with the preparation and product selection that help a paint job last through Hawaii's sun, salt air, and rain.

Painting That Holds Up to Hawaii Living

Most paint failures in Hawaii aren't caused by bad paint — they're caused by skipped preparation. Sun-baked exteriors, humid interiors, and salt-air exposure all shorten the life of a coating that wasn't prepped correctly. We treat prep as the main event, not a step to rush through on the way to painting.

Whether you're refreshing a single room, repainting a whole exterior, or turning a rental for new tenants, we walk you through the scope and cost in writing before any work starts.

Surface & Preparation

Why Prep Matters More Than the Paint

Stucco, wood siding, Hardie board, and concrete each fail differently and each need different preparation. We wash, scrape, sand, patch, and prime based on your specific substrate — not a one-size-fits-all approach. On coastal properties we add salt-air-rated primers and corrosion-inhibiting products on metal fasteners, railings, and flashing.
  • Pressure washing and mildewcide treatment
  • Crack, hole, and wood rot repair before priming
  • Caulking at joints, trim, and penetrations
  • Masking and protection for landscaping, fixtures, and walkways
  • Coatings matched to stucco, wood, Hardie board, or concrete
  • Corrosion-inhibiting primers on coastal metal components

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to move furniture before interior painting?

Clear small items and wall decor where possible. We move large furniture away from walls and cover it with drop cloths and plastic before any painting begins.

How long does exterior painting take?

Most single-family homes take three to five working days, and larger or two-story homes five to eight, depending on size, prep needs, and weather. Your written estimate includes a projected schedule.

What preparation is included?

Washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, minor wood and stucco repair, and priming are included as part of the estimated scope, confirmed in writing before work starts. Coastal properties also receive salt-air-rated primers on metal components.

How do you protect landscaping and furniture?

We mask and cover plants, walkways, fixtures, and furniture near the work area before starting, and we clean the jobsite at the end of each day.

What happens if rain affects the schedule? We monitor forecasts and adjust as needed. Exterior work pauses during rain to protect the finish, and weather contingency is built into every exterior timeline.
Do you paint homes on Maui? Yes. We provide residential painting across Maui including Kahului, Wailuku, Kihei, Wailea, Lahaina, Paia, and Makawao, as well as all of Oahu.
